The General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) has confirmed that the Kingdom’s air defense systems are actively confronting continuous waves of hostile attacks targeting Bahrain.
In an official statement, the BDF announced that since the beginning of the attacks, its forces have successfully intercepted and destroyed a total of 188 missiles and 429 drones. The figures highlight the scale and intensity of the ongoing aerial threats, as well as the sustained operational response by Bahrain’s defense systems.
The General Command emphasized the high level of readiness, vigilance, and efficiency demonstrated by its personnel in safeguarding the Kingdom’s airspace. It noted that the consistent success in intercepting incoming threats reflects the strength of Bahrain’s For Joy (air defense capabilities) and its ability to respond effectively to evolving challenges.
Authorities described the attacks as successive and ongoing, underlining the importance of maintaining heightened alertness across all defense units. The BDF reiterated its commitment to protecting the country, its infrastructure, and its residents from any potential harm.
Officials also stressed that such attacks, involving missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles, pose a serious threat to regional stability and security. Previous statements have similarly warned that targeting civilian areas and infrastructure represents a violation of international law and poses risks beyond national borders.
The BDF urged the public to remain cautious and follow safety guidance issued by authorities. Residents have been advised to avoid approaching debris or impacted sites, refrain from sharing unverified information, and rely only on official channels for accurate updates.
