Ronaldo Eyes Football Immortality as 1,000-Goal Milestone Nears-
Cristiano Ronaldo has reaffirmed his determination to continue playing professional football, expressing strong confidence that he will reach the historic milestone of 1,000 career goals as his passion for the game remains undiminished.
The Portuguese superstar made the comments after being named Best Middle East Player at the Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai on Sunday, an honour he received for the second consecutive year.
Closing in on a Historic Target-
Ronaldo’s latest achievement comes after scoring twice for Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr on Saturday, taking his career total to 956 goals for club and country. With the 40-year-old indicating he plans to continue playing for “one or two more years,” the landmark figure now appears firmly within reach.
Despite the physical demands of the sport, Ronaldo acknowledged the challenge while underlining his motivation to keep competing at the highest level.
“It’s hard to continue playing, but I am motivated,” he said after receiving the award.
Passion That Transcends Leagues-
Ronaldo stressed that his love for football remains unchanged, regardless of where he plays. He highlighted that enjoyment of the game, rather than geography, continues to drive his performances.
“My passion is high and I want to continue,” he said. “It doesn't matter where I play, whether in the Middle East or Europe. I always enjoy playing football and I want to keep going.”
Goals, Trophies and Legacy-
Beyond personal records, Ronaldo reiterated that winning trophies remains a central objective of his career. However, the pursuit of the 1,000-goal mark remains a defining ambition.
“You know what my goal is. I want to win trophies and I want to reach that number that you all know,” he said. “I will reach the number for sure, if no injuries.”
As Ronaldo continues to defy age and expectations, his journey toward football immortality remains one of the sport’s most compelling stories.
