UCC Holding signs Siemens Energy deals to advance Syria power projects
Qatar-based UCC Holding, a subsidiary of Power International Holding, has signed two strategic agreements with Siemens Energy in Berlin to support key power projects in Syria.
In a statement shared on X on Tuesday, Moutaz Al-Khayyat said the agreements are aimed at advancing the Zayzoun and Deir ez-Zor power projects. He noted that the deals will help secure early manufacturing capacity, enhance implementation readiness, and pave the way for execution.
The projects are expected to play a significant role in strengthening energy infrastructure in Syria, contributing to energy security and supporting the country’s sustainable economic recovery amid ongoing rebuilding efforts.
According to Al-Khayyat, the agreements reflect the group’s long-term commitment to delivering impactful infrastructure solutions and fostering stability through reliable energy supply.
The signing ceremony took place in the presence of several senior officials, including Ahmad Al-Sharaa, Asaad Al-Shaibani, and Mohammad Al-Bashir. Also in attendance were Ramez Al-Khayyat, Christian Bruch, Hussein Shoukry, and Ahmed ElSerry.
The collaboration highlights growing international partnerships aimed at rebuilding critical infrastructure in Syria, with energy projects seen as a cornerstone for economic revitalization and long-term development.
